Phone call from Sydney: ‘do you want to come to LA and shoot John Travolta next week?’ Let me think. Harder than it looked though – had him for 4 hours only – on the tarmac at LAX – I mean seriously on the tarmac. Wall to wall dialogue (we made a TV ad and a radio spot at the same time) with planes, helicopters, trucks – it was like shooting at a … bloody airport. Oh and losing light on the plane and having to turn it half way through. Ever tried to turn an A380? Not easy. He was lovely though and signed my copy of Pulp Fiction. Sweet.
